Everything changes, and interior design is no exception to this reality. If in previous years we had grown tired of seeing opulent, cluttered spaces in every décor magazine, that is now a thing of the past. The art deco style has died to make way for the opposite style. This 2023 season, we have been feeling for a while now in the interior design sector that the trend has “turned around”. The return to the natural, the organic and untreated materials is now in full swing. Natural woods, stones and textiles fill the spaces. New ways of living and thinking are also reflected in interior design. In these times, we care about sustainability, environmental awareness and a love of nature. Curved shapes, as the ultimate representation of nature, are now found not only in construction itself but also in decorative elements. On the covers of every specialist magazine we will find soft, pastel colours such as those proposed by Pantone, organic shapes and vintage elements. Ostentation is now being avoided due to the economic situation, and we are opting for minimalism, the search for what is essential and indispensable. The good news is that this trend can also be found on a smaller scale in decorative items from any online shop, such as Zarahome or HM home.
