Platería Residence

Platería Residence

Residential / Interior Architecture

Investment: €625,000 - €675,000

Platería Residence is a private home designed around the way its owners live. Located in the historic centre of Murcia, the project reimagines 300 m² of interior space and 100 m² of terraces through a complete architectural transformation.

The design balances timeless elegance with contemporary living, where natural materials, bespoke craftsmanship and carefully considered lighting create a calm and enduring atmosphere. Every detail has been conceived to bring clarity, comfort and character, resulting in a home that feels both refined and deeply personal.

The entrance hall: a welcome with character

The entrance hall is one of the project’s most distinctive elements. This spacious area features bespoke flooring by Emil Cerámica. The black-and-white mosaic, made up of marble-effect porcelain, brings character and exclusivity.

Daytime area: light, space and bespoke design

From the hall, you step into the daytime area. The living and dining rooms share an open-plan space, connected to a large terrace that brings in light and a sense of space.

The TV unit, designed by our studio, incorporates large-format porcelain by Xtone. It also features a bioethanol fireplace that adds warmth. This 4-metre-long unit extends to a glass cube that functions as a light well. Inside, a large preserved tree becomes the central decorative feature, highlighted by the lighting to give it the prominence it deserves.

The kitchen: functional elegance with visual geometry

The kitchen was conceived as an independent space. Its layout revolves around a central island in porcelain by Xtone, which acts as a focal point. As in the hall, two types of porcelain were combined to create an elegant pattern. This design is applied to the flooring and wall coverings, adding visual continuity and depth. The floor-to-ceiling furniture includes a display cabinet and a breakfast bar, balancing aesthetics and functionality.

Guest cloakroom: visual impact and sophistication

The guest cloakroom stands out for its combination of materials and colours. Clad in marble-effect porcelain in green tones by Marazzi, it conveys a sophisticated atmosphere. The red freestanding basin creates a striking, refined visual counterpoint.

Outdoor terrace: a balance of water, light and design

The outdoor terrace revolves around a large central island with a dining area. It is clad in large-format porcelain. A leg, bespoke-designed and clad in iridescent blue glass mosaic, creates harmony with the rest of the space.

At the far end is the sun deck area, raised on a platform with illuminated steps. The water feature and its waterfall are finished in mosaic and blue tiles.

Night-time area: flow and private elegance

The night-time area includes a master suite, arranged around a central circular light well. This layout improves circulation and visual connection. The dressing room, in wood with display cabinets, adds functionality and elegance.

En-suite bathroom: an immersive sensory experience

The en-suite bathroom was designed as a sensory experience. A freestanding bathtub and a shower with a double rainshower sit within a single porcelain-clad cube. The lighting is designed to highlight textures and create an immersive atmosphere. Materials from Porcelanosa and Emil Cerámica were used in this area.

Children’s bedroom and bathroom: a friendly, versatile design

The girls’ bedroom is versatile and functional. It comprises two symmetrical rooms, joined by a sliding partition that opens or closes as needed. The soft tones and curved shapes in the niches and headboards create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The bespoke furniture optimises the space without compromising on style.

The girls’ bathroom follows the aesthetic of the bedroom. Onyx Pink and solid surface were used for the basin. The Porcelanosa wall covering adds continuity and balance. The arch-shaped mirrors echo the curves found throughout the rest of the design.

Lighting: key to the project’s atmosphere

The overall lighting design, by Arkoslight, plays an essential role. The mix of ambient and accent lighting enhances materials and volumes, adding elegance to every room.

Conclusion: bespoke design with exclusive materials

In this luxury interior design project in Murcia, the choice of materials was key. As a studio specialising in personalised design, Keinzo Interiores selected exclusive materials. Large-format porcelain and combinations of matte and gloss finishes were used. Together, these shape an eclectic, timeless and luxurious space.
