Salone del Mobile in Milan, Interior Design Trends

Salone del Mobile in Milan, the most important furniture design fair.

Do you love interior design and enjoy following each year’s trends? If so, the Milan Furniture Fair will leave you speechless.

The 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan was held from 7 to 12 June this year at Fiera Milano Rho. It showcases the latest developments in interior design and furniture presented to the public by leading brands and designers.

This year, 2022, the fair has been influenced by the situation brought about by the pandemic. This new post-pandemic reality confirms that the living room is the space par excellence. The living room has become a hybrid space, with multifunctional furniture and sustainable, long-lasting materials in shapes and colours that champion “Slow Life” in interior design.

At the Salone del Mobile, the star trend in decoration remains minimalism, but with colours that bring warmth. Materials such as wood, in its wide range of colours and forms, are essential for enjoying the beauty of nature.

The colour palette for interior decoration is focused on bringing optimism. Colours such as Pink Terracotta, Klein Blue and Bottle Green can be seen in every space. These are desaturated matte pastel colours combined with marble in vibrant tones. This combination is strikingly appealing to the eye. Metals are another strong feature added to these looks presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

The furniture also shows an echo of the 1960s and 70s, with rounded shapes and fabrics that stir our sense of touch, such as velvet. This is an interior design trend that looks set to stay.

Murcia on top!

One of the pieces we loved comes from the brand Sancal, a company from Yecla that never leaves anyone indifferent. At this edition of the fair, it did so once again with the Link pouffe, shaped like “rings”, transforming an everyday object into a sculpture that conveys emotion and gives users the freedom to use it in any context, use and setting.
